G. John Ikenberry: Liberal international order should be strengthened to integrate rising China

G. John Ikenberry, a professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton University, is one of the most prominent authors on American power projection today. In an article published today, Ikenberry argues that China is the only possible actor that could challenge American power projection, but that even if it did, China wouldn’t change the international order because of their current capitalist system. It seems to be that China will simply vie for power throughout the world, but not really change anything. This should help ease concerns surrounding China’s rise.
