This article is an interesting read, especially because it really raises the question– just how are drone strikes decided? We barely even understand the criteria for conducting a strike, let alone who eventually gets put on the list to be killed. Specifically, check out the section “On how the targeted kill list is developed” if you still need your interested piqued by this. The process seems so vague and self-serving that it’s almost impossible to really understand.
Maybe it’s about time that the government published some proper criteria for who gets attacked with a drone and who doesn’t.
