It’s good to see some action being taken about the drone program at the state government level at least. I don’t know if there should be a complete ban, but as this article indicates, there are little to no regulations involved with the usage of drones domestically now. It’s definitely about time that something like this happens. Hopefully this will gain enough publicity to spill over to federal government action or other state government actions.

In cast you’re unfamiliar with drones — which have been making headlines lately — they’re basically little flying machines that are commonly used by police departments to, they say, prevent crime. But there are virtually no laws regarding their use.
“Is big brother gonna be watching us,” asks State Rep Tom McMillin (R-Rochester). “These drones are mainly cameras in the sky and they can see where people are, and there’s gonna be 10,000 of them, so we really need to put the right restraints on drones.”
